DAVAO ORIENTAL – PhilHealth’s Local Health Insurance Office (LHIO) – Mati engaged in a series of meetings with teams from the City Health Office (CHO) – Mati and Municipal Health Office (MHO) – Banaybanay, last March 29, 2022, and May 23, 2022, respectively.

The discussions helped establish the operations of the PhilHealth Konsultasyong Sulit at Tama (Konsulta) Program for the two providers.

During the roundtable discussions, Dr. Benhur Catbagan, City Health Officer of CHO-Mati, raised their facility’s concerns regarding the processes involved, primarily on how the eKonsulta system operates.

On March 30, CHO-Mati invited LHIO – Mati’s KonSulTa team to help oversee the processes, from registration to encoding the patient data on the eKonsulta system. To kick-off the implementation of the program in the city, they even initiated their first patient encounter among their own employees.

Since the start of their implementation, CHO – Mati have been working closely with LHIO -Mati to successfully enforce PhilHealth KonSulta for access of the city’s residents.

In an effort to bring the program to light, LHIO Mati also engaged in formal meetings with MHO-Banaybanay, through MH Officer Dr. Angelo S Cruz, to discuss details of the program implementation, as well as their issues and concerns.

To augment the operational needs of the program, additional workforce was requested to operate the Konsulta process and requests from providers in the province. The LHIO team also assured both providers to prioritize requests for issuing the Authorization Transaction Code.
