Inday Sara did the right thing in leaving Lakas-CMD. She doesn’t need Lakas to survive politically. She has the DDS behind her. It was the DDS vote that made Uni-Team win. Bongbong Marcos just rode on the coat-tails of Inday and the DDS. Without them, BBM would have been limited to no more than 14 million diehard Marcos votes instead of the 31.6 million he had obtained at the last presidential election. In fact, Inday got half a million more votes running as VP than he did running as president.

There is a cabal in the Bongbong camp already making plans to sabotage Inday for the next presidential election to pave the way for another Marcos to succeed his father. They think that with the diehard Marcos votes plus the 10 million or so yellow votes, another Marcos can obtain between 24 to 26 million votes to neutralize Inday’s candidacy by sabotaging or discrediting Inday.

Inday of course is not playing their game. She is too smart to play that game. She is focusing on her job at the Education department and not withdrawing her support for Bongbong which is what the cabal is hoping she would do to blame her for breaking up the Uni-Team. I don’t think BBM is involved. He is too naive to be involved but someone close to him is and many suspect who that person is judging by the political color of nominees to government positions.

One of my favorite quotes is, “Give them enough rope to hang themselves.” Let them be. In fact, I would even encourage them through third parties. The more mistakes they make, the better. (Joe Alejandrino)
