The US has sufficient nuclear arsenal to withdraw to Fortress America without engaging in wars. What it needs is to rebuild its economy and finances. Russia and China do not pose a threat to US national security. The real threat will come from economic competition with China whose focus is primarily on trade and commerce. This being said, Trump is aware the US military has to maintain a technological edge in weapons systems.
In the Middle East, US foreign policy will center on expanding the Abrahamic Accords which Trump had initiated. The US will continue to guarantee Israeli security through those Accords that will bring mutual economic benefits to Arabs and Israelis alike. Israel has much to offer its Arab neighbours by way of scientific know-how and technology which Arab countries lack.
Trump does not believe in the US intervening in the internal affairs of other countries. What the US will focus on is encouraging people to elect leaders of a nationalistic mode. After visiting Manila and talking to Rodrigo Duterte, he told his aide after embarking on Air Force One, “Duterte is the right guy to govern the Philippines.” Trump dislikes liberals and globalists whom he blames for much of the ills in this world. He also believes in the Bible as much as Putin and Netanyahu.
As I had written before, Donald Trump will reach an accommodation with Russia and China for global peace. He will dismantle NATO which he considers no longer has a reason for being, as well as military alliances, will close down over 700 US military bases around the world, will bring US troops home. Uncle Sam will withdraw to Fortress America. He promised to clean up the Deep State and the US bureaucracy, notably the CIA and FBI. He will focus on the US economy. On trade and commerce, he does not believe in Free Trade but in Fair Trade. All these will be the focus of his immediate attention the moment he steps into the White House after the US November 2024 election. Liberals and globalists like BBM will be marginalized on the world stage as we enter a multi-polar world. All that I had predicted will come to pass. Wait and see. (Joe Alejandrino)
