In an orchard of fruit trees, there will always be a few that will stand out from the rest by producing the most and sweetest fruits.

No two trees, even if they belong to the same variety, would be the same as there are really outstanding producers.

This was the criteria which we used in selecting which the over 500 EVIARC Jackfruit Trees would be selected as the source of our clonal materials for seedlings production.

Eight years since the trees were planted, we have now identified the trees which produce the sweetest fruits and these are the trees whose scions are used in asexual propagation.

We use the Inarching method which gives us 95 to 98% survival and the seedlings are more vigorous and robust because they are not subjected to the stressful practice of defoliating and cutting of the scion before grafting. (Manny Piñol)
